NextHive Consulting was started to bring straightforward, well-run software and infrastructure to teams who don't need — or don't yet have — a full in-house platform group.

We keep engagements small and direct: the people who scope the work are the people who build it. We favor boring, well-understood technology over the newest framework, and we design systems that your team can actually operate after we're gone.

This site — and the infrastructure behind it — is itself an example of how we like to build: self-hosted, low-cost, and simple enough to explain in a few sentences.
